Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with FedEx field operations to plan contractor and equipment needs for trailer movements.
• Coordinates and tracks processing and movement of FedEx trailers, rental equipment, new trailers, and dollies.
• Manages locally domiciled Unassigned Team logistics to maximize resource use and minimize tractor dwell.
• Directs the dispatch of transportation equipment per the Linehaul plan.
• Ensures Linehaul dispatch and arrival rules follow defined procedures.
• Coordinates cargo shipments to maximize trailer volume while meeting package delivery obligations.
• Enters trip details into the TMS to ensure on-time delivery and pickup of trailers.
• Verifies equipment location via yard inventories and checks pending loads/unloads.
• Communicates safety initiatives to maintain a safety-conscious culture.
• Investigates delays, accidents, and equipment failures and implements contingency plans for on-time load delivery.
• Reviews DOT roadside violations and coordinates with Safety and Maintenance to monitor tractor inspections and annual certificates.
