Qualifications

• Dispatch experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Linehaul operations and DOT regulations.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with FedEx field operations to plan contractor and equipment needs.
• Coordinate and track processing and movement of trailers, rental equipment, and dollies in the FedEx network.
• Manage locally domiciled Unassigned Team logistics to maximize resources and minimize tractor dwell.
• Direct dispatch of transportation equipment according to the Linehaul plan.
• Ensure Linehaul dispatch and arrival rules follow defined procedures.
• Coordinate cargo shipments to maximize trailer volume while meeting delivery obligations.
• Enter trip details into the Transport Management System (TMS) to ensure on-time delivery.
• Verify equipment location with yard inventories and load/unload status with yard checks.
• Report schedule delays, accidents, and equipment failures; implement contingency plans for on-time load delivery.
• Review DOT roadside violations and monitor tractor safety inspections with Safety and Maintenance.
