Description

This position is a Processing Line Worker in a Food Processing (Eggs) company. Under the direction of the Processing Supervisor, this position performs various tasks ensuring the highest quality product possible.

Key Responsibilities

• Food Safety and Food Quality
• Perform all functions of the position with strict adherence to all HACCP, SQF, cGMP’s, and regulatory protocols.
• Follow food safety principles.
• Ensure that products and materials are handled and stored to prevent damage or contamination.
• Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards.
• Maintain compliance with personnel and process hygiene requirements.
• Operations
• Grade and align eggs entering the washer section.
• Ensure smooth transition of eggs from the main egg belt conveyor to the accumulating station.
• Keep area clean, track inedible materials, and dispose of them properly.
• Clean washer screens.
• Perform chemical checks, foam control, and re-wash eggs as needed.
• Grade eggs from washers per SOP.
• Ensure smooth transition of eggs from transfer room to breaking machine.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas.
• Assist during breaks and cleanup.
• Grade broken eggs, removing bad or blood spot eggs and shells from cups.
• Perform cleanup duties meeting USDA standards in Breaking, Transfer, and Shell rooms after shifts.

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

• Experience in Food Manufacturing or Processing is desirable.
• Knowledge of safety programs such as Confined Space, LOTO, Hazcom, etc.
• Equipment operation skills.

Physical Demands

Stand and walk constantly; grip, grasp, push, pull, reach, bend, stoop, lift up to 10 pounds frequently; sit, climb, lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Work Environment

Exposure to moving mechanical parts, water, chemicals; temperature-regulated environments with cooler areas; moderate noise level; PPE required; adherence to GMPs is mandatory.

Additional Details

The starting rate is $17.00/hour, with incremental increases based on skills and qualifications.
