Job summary

Blue Grass Energy Cooperative Corporation seeks an experienced Line Technician to perform construction, operations and maintenance of energized lines, restore power and support substation operations. You will install transformers, breakers and regulators, and work with minimal supervision while maintaining safety standards.

The role requires strong knowledge of line switching, SCADA protocols, and climbing skills; candidates must hold a valid CDL and be able to pass physical requirements.

Qualifications

• Five years' experience in the Line Technician training program or equivalent line experience.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certification in climbing poles, pole top and bucket rescue, and a valid CDL.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction, operations and maintenance of energized or de-energized lines.
• Install transformers, regulator equipment and related devices.
• Maintain safety practices and participate in safety meetings.
