Job summary

Blue Grass Energy Cooperative Corp in Kentucky seeks a skilled Line Technician to perform construction, operations and maintenance of energized or de-energized lines, transformers, breakers and related equipment in a safety‑driven team environment.

Requires a High School diploma or GED, five years of line experience or completion of the Line Technician program, CDL, climbing and rescue certifications; on‑call duties, rotation, and ability to work outdoors in all weather.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED required.
• Five years' Line Technician experience or completion of Line Technician training program.
• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) required.
• Pole climbing and pole top/bucket truck rescue certifications required.
• Ability to read and follow operations, manuals and safety rules; good communication with crew chiefs and teammates.

Responsibilities

• Performs construction, operations and maintenance of energized or de-energized lines.
• Performs conversion, switching and fusing tasks.
• Installs transformers, transformer banks, breakers, regulators and auto boosters.
