Job summary

AEP is seeking a Line Servicer in Seaman, Ohio to perform installation, maintenance and inspection of electrical transmission and distribution facilities. You will respond to trouble calls, inspect lines, and assist crews in repair and restoration work on overhead and underground systems.

Applicants should have a High School diploma or GED, a valid Class A CDL, and at least 2 years of related Lineman/A experience or equivalent. Relocation within 30 miles of Seaman Service Center may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid Class A CDL is required.
• Minimum of 2 years of work experience as Line Mechanic A, Lineman A or equivalent; must meet company qualifications through demonstration, exam, or performance assessment.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and take corrective action with respect to trouble calls on all transmission/distribution circuits and equipment.
• Investigate trouble calls; patrol and inspect lines; locate, clear and repair faults on lines/equipment.
• Coordinate circuit switching and restoration of service after trouble calls; work with hot line equipment on energized circuits.
