Shepherd Church in Porter Ranch, CA is seeking a reliable Line/Prep Cook for Pillars Café on a part-time basis. You will prepare and cook menu items following recipes, maintain a clean workspace, and support the dining team during busy shifts.

Qualifications

• Able to operate standard kitchen equipment (grill, oven, fryer, etc.).
• Valid Food Handler’s Card.
• Weekend availability is required.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Line/Prep Cook – Pillars Café

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized workspace throughout your shift, including immediate cleanup and regular trash removal.
• Prepare and stock ingredients (meats, proteins, cheeses, vegetables, sauces, etc.) and ensure all items are properly labeled, dated, and stored.
• Execute customer orders efficiently and accurately without compromising quality.
• Coordinate with the Lead Cook at the start and end of shifts regarding prep needs, menu updates, and next-day requirements.

What We’re Looking For
