Job description

Unbelievegan Restaurant is looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Line Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in preparing high-quality vegetables and dishes according to our recipes and standards, ensuring efficient and timely service for our guests. You will work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with other kitchen staff to deliver exceptional dining experiences.

Responsibilities:
  1. Setup and stock workstations with all necessary supplies (ingredients, tools, equipment).
  2. Cook menu items efficiently and accurately, ensuring proper cooking techniques and temperatures.
  3. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to food safety and sanitation regulations.
  4. Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables and preparing sauces as needed.
  5. Plate and garnish dishes according to established presentation standards.
  6. Monitor food quality and ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest standards.
  7. Communicate effectively with other kitchen staff and front-of-house team to ensure smooth service.
  8. Follow instructions from the Head Chef, Sous Chef, and other kitchen managers.
  9. Assist with inventory management and stock rotation.
  10. Properly store and label food items to maintain freshness and prevent spoilage.
  11. Dispose of waste properly.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned by kitchen management.
Qualifications:
  1. Proven experience as a Line Cook or relevant cooking experience.
  2. Ability to follow recipes accurately and consistently.
  3. Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  4. Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 30-50 pounds.
