Job summary

Responsibilities include interpreting production schedules and Kanban signals, maintaining line performance, coordinating with departments for part supply, and promoting a 5S culture.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Computer familiarity and basic software.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Understanding of decimals, fractions, scales.
• Experience on production lines in multiple areas.
• Demonstrated quality background.

Responsibilities

• Interpret Master Production Schedule, JIT reports, Kanban containers to determine area requirements.
• Monitor department performance goals and strive to meet or exceed them.
• Familiarity with basic technical aspects of all jobs within the department.
• Meet requirements of all skilled positions.
• Monitor production standards and quality control measures.
• Prioritize staffing assignments based on Training Matrix with supervisor.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure part supply and availability.
• Ensure efficient and effective line handoff.
• Promote 5S culture on the line.
• Lead by example and provide daily summaries to supervisor.
• Assess high/low performance areas and identify key drivers across resources.
• Contribute to Weekly Toolbox Talk meetings.
