Job summary

Bosch Group in Norman, OK is seeking a Machine Operator I to operate press equipment and fabricate sheet metal parts to tight tolerances. You will inspect parts, manage material transfer, and report discrepancies in real time.

You will set up automatic and manual shear operations, read blueprints, and perform basic calculations. The role requires attention to detail, safety compliance, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Use of decimals, fractions and scales.
• Complete in-plant Brazer training course (should brazing be required for assigned job).
• On job training.

Responsibilities

• Operate press machine to fabricate sheet metal parts within very close tolerances.
• Inspect parts, operate material transfer system and report discrepancies.
• Set dials on control console for automatic shears and determine blade positions.
• Set up Twelve Foot Shear and adjust back gauge position and material feed clamps.
• Record production in MES and production log; maintain 5S workspace.
