Qualifications

• Minimum of one year distribution electrical power line work experience, OR one year of related line experience with a 16-week internship or associated training.
• High school diploma or GED; Class A CDL required.
• Must be able to meet qualification demonstrations and performance criteria as determined by the Company.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, maintain, remove and inspect overhead and underground facilities including conductors and transformers under supervision.
• Perform work on conductors and equipment energized up to 260 volts with appropriate supervision.
• Test, de-energize and ground URD cable and related equipment; troubleshoot and energize URD cable under supervision.
• Operate test equipment for voltages up to 600 volts and progress to higher classifications as skills develop.
• Build and erect equipment mountings and overhead transformer installations.
• Direct the work of assigned personnel and complete monthly apprentice cards.
