Job summary

ACH Food Companies, Inc. is seeking a Line Mechanic to maintain and repair plant machinery. The position typically operates on the 3rd shift (11pm–7am CST) with potential off shifts; pay is set per the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Candidates should be skilled tradespeople with mechanical and electrical knowledge and a commitment to safety. Responsibilities include installing equipment, performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and documenting SOPs and safety analyses.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 3–5 years industrial maintenance experience in food manufacturing.
• Journeyman Mechanic skills.
• Advanced training in hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Basic knowledge of industrial electrical systems.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Manual dexterity for operating machinery and computers.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Install facility machinery.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and repair facility machinery.
• Write and maintain SOPs and JSAs.
• Repair heavy-duty and precision equipment.
• Maintain and secure work tools.
• Lock out/tag out safety procedures.
• Communicate changes to management.
• Follow GMP safety policies.
• Complete daily maintenance and repair logs.
