ARGO Plant - Line Mechanic (Off Shift) at ACH Food Companies, Inc. in Summit, IL is a regular full-time role with shifts chiefly on the 3rd shift (11pm–7am CST).

The position involves daily repair and maintenance of plant mechanical systems and equipment, with pay aligned to the Collective Bargaining Agreement and a starting hourly rate of $38.40. The role requires a high school diploma, 3–5 years of industrial experience, and hands-on mechanical expertise.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Mechanic skills required.
• Advanced training in mechanical systems including hydraulic & pneumatic systems, plumbing, piping systems.
• Basic knowledge of industrial electrical systems is beneficial.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers.
• Ability to push, pull, lift; up to 50 pounds, as required.

Responsibilities

• Install facility machinery.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on facility machinery.
• Troubleshoot and repair facility machinery.
• Write and maintain SOPs and JSAs.
• Repair heavy duty and precision equipment.
• Perform repairs to keep equipment running.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues and make repairs as needed.
• Complete daily maintenance and repair logs.
• Communicate with operators from all shifts.
• Maintain and secure work tools.
• Clean and maintain work area.
• Turn off and lock out equipment when not in use.
• Follow GMP policies and regulations.
• Communicate changes in conditions to management.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
