Job summary

Embecta Corp. in the United States is seeking a Line Lead - Warehouse (D shift) to supervise daily warehouse activities, ensure safety, and drive continuous improvement. The role requires strong leadership and experience operating ERP/WMS/MES systems to coordinate materials flow.

You will train associates, monitor documentation, and collaborate with other leads to maintain quality and efficiency while upholding Embecta's standards.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Vocational, technical or associate degree preferred.
  • 3+ years' operating powered industrial trucks.
  • 3+ years' using ERP, WMS or MES systems.
  • 3+ years' working in a warehouse environment.
  • 1+ year experience working in a manufacturing environment and/or experience working for BD or embecta.
  • Previous leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Monitors team members to ensure compliance to controlled documents.
  • Provides work direction to associates in assigned area(s).
  • Directs training for associates in their assigned area(s).
  • Responsible for all process documentation accuracy, completion and handoff.
  • Sets work assignment/direction of associates as needed.
  • The Line Lead will interact with other Line Leads and associates on the respective/adjoining shift to share best practices, create standardization, and ensure a smooth transition between shifts.
  • Responds when an issue is identified, leads the root cause and corrective action investigation as needed and escalates as required.
  • Enables the development and training of associates by responding to requests and department needs.
  • Assists with changes to Standard Work instructions.
  • Proactively works to anticipate problems before they impact production.
  • Champions process improvements and ensures that changes associated with Continuous Improvement (Cl) activities are implemented consistently in their area.
  • In the absence/shortage of available floaters, must have knowledge of and be able to perform effciently all department operations.
  • Must obtain necessary certifications within one (1) year
  • Duties include coverage of department operations as requested/needed
  • Assists supervisor and manager with meeting department safety and production goals
  • Identify and correct any conditions compromising the safety of any employee
  • Ensure a clean, safe environment
  • Ensures an open flow of communication exists between associates and management.
  • Accessible to associates in assigned areas
  • Works with Team Leader to hold associates accountable for performance
  • Leads by example with a focus on safety and quality.
  • Must maintain regular, punctual attendance
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Shift Leader and required to support the needs of the business

RESPONSIBILITIES:
