A leading company in food production is seeking a Line Lead for their 3rd shift operations in Rice Lake, WI. The role requires coordination of production line activities, ensuring quality and efficiency, and maintaining detailed production logs. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to problem-solve in a fast-paced environment. About the role.
Under the supervision of the Production Supervisor, the Line Lead performs all work necessary to operate the battered onion lines following established standards, procedures and practices. The Line Lead ensures that the proper materials are used during the shift’s production and makes necessary changes throughout the day. The Line Lead coordinates and reassigns staffing to maximize efficiencies as determined by the labor line-ups and raw material conditions for each product. The Line Lead completes daily paperwork in a timely and accurate manner. The Line Lead communicates with key personnel to ensure line optimization. This position directly monitors all direct labor assigned to production. This position supports Operations, Quality Control, Safety, and Finance.
This is on the 3rd shift:3rd shift hours are Sunday- Thursday 11 pm- 7 am.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Requires three to six months of on the job training. No degree required. Computers skills a plus.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, key personnel and management regarding the day’s production and solving problems in a positive and courteous manner. Must maintain confidentiality of individual problems and work record information.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to do simple arithmetic; add, subtract, multiply, divide, percentages, and averages.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form. Ability to solve problems and make a determination on when to shut a line down.
LICENSE
A forklift license is preferred.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee works in the plant where the noise level is loud and would be exposed to wet, humid conditions, extreme hot and cold, and moving mechanical parts.

Employees in this position are required to wear hearing protection, smocks, hair restraints, safety glasses, and slip resistant safety toed shoes.

Compensation Package:$25.50USD hourly+ bonus eligibility
The above reflects the target compensation range for the position at the time of posting. Hiring compensation will be determined based on experience, skill set, education/training, and other organizational needs.
Shift Differential Pay: $3.00 hour
