Old Dominion Freight Line is seeking a dedicated Line Haul Driver to join our OD family culture. You will operate tractor-trailer combinations over long distances, delivering freight with precision and reliability.

Most drivers enjoy a 5-day workweek with home most nights, and the role offers a strong work-life balance and a tuition reimbursement program for recent trucking graduates. Average annual pay is around $107,000, reflecting the value placed on safety, efficiency, and reliability.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and speak English.
• 12 months of tractor-trailer driving experience or graduation from a state-certified trucking school or completion of the O.D. trucking trainer program (ODTDT).
• Ability to read, write, speak English and perform simple mathematical calculations.
• Ability to operate a handheld mini-computer when required.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations governing safe driving, hours of service, inspection and maintenance.
• Must possess a valid CDL Class A with double/triple trailers, tanker, and hazmat endorsements.
• Must be available for around-the-clock trips and be away from home for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Operate vehicle safely within DOT regulations.
• Meet or exceed medical standards and pass drug and alcohol tests.
• Perform pre-trip inspections and ensure loads are secure.
• Use tablets/phones to record deliveries and navigation.
• Unsecure freight and unload at drop-off locations.
