Old Dominion Freight Line, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Line Haul Driver to join our OD family culture. You will operate tractor-trailer combinations over long distances, delivering freight with precision and reliability while maintaining safety and DOT compliance.

Our drivers typically work a 5-day week and are home most nights, offering a strong work-life balance. The position includes tuition reimbursement and a competitive average annual pay, with opportunities for growth within OD.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, and speak English.
• 12 months tractor-trailer driving experience or graduation from certified school.
• Ability to read, write, speak English and perform simple math.
• Must possess a valid CDL A with trailers/tanker/hazmat endorsements.
• Familiarity with DOT regulations and safe driving practices.

Responsibilities

• Operate vehicle safely per DOT regulations and hours of service.
• Meet medical standards and pass drug and alcohol tests.
• Conduct pre-trip vehicle inspections.
• Ensure payload stability and proper load securement.
• Adjust load securement as needed to prevent shifting.
• Use a tablet/phone to record deliveries and navigate.
• Unhook/unload freight with hand truck.
• Available for around-the-clock shifts and extended time away from home.
