Wheatland Electric Cooperative, Inc. is seeking a safety‑focused Line Foreman to lead line crews in building and maintaining overhead and underground distribution systems.

You will supervise energized work, enforce OSHA standards, and respond to outages while mentoring apprentices and ensuring service reliability. The role requires a high school diploma, Journeyman certification, and a 4‑year Lineman Apprenticeship; CDL and relocation to the service area may apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a 4-year Lineman Apprenticeship Program.
• Journeyman Lineman certification required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise line crews for energized and de-energized utility line construction and maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and Cooperative practices.
• Respond to outages, emergencies, and member service needs.
• Train and mentor apprentice linemen and crew members.
• Oversee overhead and underground line construction, maintenance, and restoration.
• Operate and maintain line equipment (bucket trucks, diggers, trenchers, forklifts, skid loaders).
• Conduct inspections, troubleshoot issues, and restore service safely and efficiently.
• Participate in on-call rotations and respond to emergencies as needed.
• Maintain records, inventories, crew timekeeping, and equipment inspections.
• Promote Cooperative programs and services to members.
