Din Tai Fung is a Chinese restaurant specializing in Xiao Long Bao, or steamed soup dumplings, made by hand with our "Golden Ratio" of 18 folds. Founded in Taiwan in 1958, reborn as a dumpling and noodle restaurant in 1972, now with over 170 locations worldwide, including 14 in the US.

About the Role:

Line Cooks (Wok) are responsible for preparing, cooking, and plating wok line items.

Responsibilities:
  • Learn all Wok recipes, cook times, and techniques per Din Tai Fung's procedures
  • Check ingredient quality before cooking
  • Cook ingredients according to recipes
  • Plate items following plating guidelines
  • Prepare garnishes and label items per health regulations
  • Attend staff and Wok meetings
Supporting Tasks:
  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness and organization
  • Assist with deep cleaning and inventory organization
  • Lift/move items up to 50 pounds
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
Requirements:
  • Friendly, energetic, motivated team player
  • Open availability
  • Eager to learn and be challenged
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Must be 18+ and able to provide legal work documentation
