Job summary

Winding River Grille, located at the Carolina National Golf Club in Bolivia, North Carolina, is seeking energetic line cooks to join the Food and Beverage team. This is a casual, golf-course setting within a GreatLIFE Golf facility, offering a fun work environment and opportunities to grow.

We have both part-time and full-time positions; full-time includes medical, dental and vision coverage, paid time off and holiday pay.

Qualifications

• Certificate from college, technical school or accredited facility or 6-12 months related experience and/or training.

Responsibilities

• Prepares a variety of meats, poultry, vegetables and other food items for cooking.
• Completes opening and closing checklists.
• Refers to daily prep list at the start of each shift for assigned duties.
• Maintains a clean and sanitary workstation including equipment.
• Reports equipment and food quality issues to the supervisor.
• Ensures proper storage of food items.
• Maintains regular & reliable attendance.

Winding River Grille is located in Bolivia, North Carolina on the property of the beautiful Carolina National Golf Club! This is a 27-hole golf course designed by Fred Couples. Carolina National Golf Club is a GreatLIFE Golf facility. GreatLIFE Golf is one of the largest Golf Course Ownership / Management Companies in the country with over 50 golf courses in multiple states. We are currently looking for both part-time and full-time, hourly line cooks to join of Food and Beverage team! Full-time positions will come with a full benefits package to include Medical, Dental and Vision coverage as well as Paid Time Off and Holiday Pay. Pay Range: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour

$1,000.00 Retention Bonus

$250.00 - After 60 days of employment

$250.00 - After 180 days of employment

$500 - After 365 days (1 year) of employment

Job Description

Reports to executive chef, prepares various pantry products for various food outlets such as restaurant, banquet operations, snack bar and beverage cart.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Completes opening and closing checklists.
• Refers to daily prep list at the start of each shift for assigned duties.
• Prepares a variety of meats, poultry, vegetables and other food items for cooking in grills, fryers and a variety of other kitchen equipment.
• Understands and complies consistently with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures.
• Ensures proper storage of food items.
• Maintains a clean and sanitary work station area including tables, shelves, walls, grills, fryers, sauté burners, range, and refrigeration equipment.
• Opens the kitchen properly and follows the opening checklist for kitchen stations. Assists others in opening the kitchen.
• Promptly reports equipment and food quality problems to the department manager and/or supervisor.
• Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
• Regular & reliable attendance.

Degree/Licenses
