Job summary

Chapel Ridge Golf Club in Pittsboro, NC, part of GreatLIFE Golf, is hiring for line cooks to support our Food and Beverage team. We offer full-time and part-time roles with competitive pay and a benefits package for full-time staff.

Duties include pantry prep, opening/closing duties, cooking meats and vegetables on grills and fryers, maintaining clean stations, and adhering to portion sizes and safety standards. Availability on Thursdays evenings and weekends is required.

Qualifications

• Certificate/ training or 6-12 months related experience.

Responsibilities

• Completes opening and closing checklists.
• Refers to daily prep list at the start of each shift.
• Prepares a variety of meats, poultry, vegetables for cooking.
• Adheres to standard portion sizes and kitchen procedures.
• Maintains a clean and sanitary work station and equipment.
• Opens the kitchen and assists in opening duties.
• Reports equipment or food quality issues to management.
• Supports Head Chef in scheduling and kitchen operations.
• Practices safe work habits and maintains regular attendance.

Chapel Ridge Golf Club is one GreatLIFE Golf's premier golf clubs located in Pittsboro, North Carolina! This club is an 18-hole, semi-private club designed by Bob Moore and Fred Couples. On site is the Ridge Bar and Grill that offers a variety of different food and beverage options. We focus on creating an fun, laid back environment for our employees while providing excellent customer service for our members and guests.

We are looking for both full-time and part-time line cooks to join our Food and Beverage team. Please see a general job description below and should you feel your knowledge, education and experience could be a match,

• Full-time positions will come with a full benefits package to include Medical, Dental and Vision coverage as well as Paid Time Off and Holiday Pay.

Pay Range: $14.00 - $17.00.00 per hour

Must be available Thursday evenings and weekends

Job Description

Prepares various pantry products for various food outlets such as restaurant, banquet operations, snack bar and beverage cart.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Completes opening and closing checklists.
• Refers to daily prep list at the start of each shift for assigned duties.
• Prepares a variety of meats, poultry, vegetables and other food items for cooking in grills, fryers and a variety of other kitchen equipment.
• Understands and complies consistently with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures.
• Ensures proper storage of food items.
• Maintains a clean and sanitary work station area including tables, shelves, walls, grills, fryers, sauté burners, range, and refrigeration equipment.
• Opens the kitchen properly and follows the opening checklist for kitchen stations. Assists others in opening the kitchen.
• Promptly reports equipment and food quality problems to the department manager and/or supervisor.
• Supports Head Chef in scheduling and managing the kitchen as required to support a successful operation.
• Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
• Regular & reliable attendance.

Degree/Licenses

Certificate from college, technical school or accredited facility or 6-12 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
