Job summary

The Ruby Slipper Cafe is seeking a kitchen team member to prepare and portion hot foods for a high-volume brunch concept. You will assist with plating, garnishing, and maintaining quality in line with Ruby Standards.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of kitchen experience, strong communication, and the ability to lift up to 50lbs while standing for long shifts in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in kitchen preparation and cooking.
• Must be able to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen, and front of house krewe members.
• Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50lbs.
• Standing for long periods up to 10 hours.

Responsibilities

• Accurately and efficiently prepare hot food products and portion prior to cooking.
• Plate and garnish cooked items and prepare appropriate garnishes for hot menu plates.

Job Summary

• Responsible for performing other duties in the areas of food and final plate preparation including plating and garnishing of cooked items and preparing appropriate garnishes for all hot menu item plates

• Complies with our standard portion sizes cooking methods quality standards and kitchen rules policies and procedures
