Qualifications

• Hotel experience preferred.
• Dexterity to operate food machinery.
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food of consistent quality following recipe cards and production and portion standards, per server check.
• Start items that are prepared ahead of time, avoiding over-preparation.
• Date and rotate perishables per HEI standards and keep temperatures in check.
• Check pars for shift usage; note shortages and keep buffet stocked.
• Return unused items to storage; cover/date perishables.
• Assist in controlling food costs and reducing waste per HEI standards.
• Operate and clean kitchen equipment including fryer, broiler, stove, steamer, mixers, slicer, ovens, and more.
• Be reliable and available to work on a regular basis.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
