Responsibilities include:
- Preparing, expediting, monitoring, replenishing, and transporting food items as indicated by production sheets.
- Reporting to the Sous Chef at the start of each shift for instructions on specials or menu changes.
- Arranging mise en place according to posted instructions and menu requirements.
- Communicating station needs, waste, and discrepancies with the supervisor.
- Preparing and presenting menu items according to recipes and presentation standards.
- Assisting in other kitchen areas as directed.
- Interacting professionally with guests and coworkers.
- Maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- One to two years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
- Ability to respond to guest inquiries or complaints.
- Ability to interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and manuals.
- Basic math skills and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to interpret instructions in various formats.
- Must qualify for a license with the Pennsylvania State Racing Commission and meet other credentialing requirements.
- Working events on the casino floor require obtaining a non-gaming credential.
Physical Demands:
- Walking 30%, standing 70%, bending and lifting 10%.
- Climbing heights over 10 feet and lifting up to 100 lbs.
- Visual acuity including color and peripheral vision.
Work Environment:
- Smoking environment in guest areas; non-smoking in employee areas.
- High noise levels.
