Responsibilities:
- Prepares, expedites, monitors, replenishes, and transports food items as indicated by production sheets.
- Reports to Sous Chef at the start of each shift for instructions on specials or menu updates.
- Arranges mise en place according to posted instructions and menu requirements.
- Communicates station needs, waste, and discrepancies with the supervisor.
- Prepares and presents menu items according to recipes and presentation standards, as directed.
- Assists in other kitchen areas as needed.
- Maintains a clean and sanitary work environment at all times.
- Interacts professionally with guests and coworkers.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- One to two years of experience or equivalent education and experience.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
- Ability to respond to guest inquiries and read/interpret safety and operating documents.
- Basic math skills and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to interpret instructions in various formats.
- Must qualify for a license with the Pennsylvania State Racing Commission and meet other credentialing requirements.
- Working events on the casino floor require a non-gaming credential.
Physical Demands:
- Walking 30%, standing 70%, bending and lifting 10%.
- Climbing heights over 10 feet, lifting/moving up to 100 lbs.
- Visual acuity including color and peripheral vision.
Work Environment:
- Smoking environment in guest areas; non-smoking employee areas.
- High noise levels.
Additional Details:
Starting salary: $18.00 per hour.
