Qualifications

Job description

WE LOVE OUR WORK.
  • Prepares, expedites, monitors, replenishes, and transports meats, vegetables, soups, sauces, and other food items as indicated by production sheets.
  • Reports to Sous Chef at the start of each shift to receive instructions, including daily specials or menu changes.
  • Arranges mise en place according to posted instructions and menu requirements.
  • Communicates station needs, waste, and discrepancies with immediate supervisor.
  • Prepares and presents menu items as directed by the supervisor, following recipe specifications and presentation photos.
  • Assists in other kitchen areas as directed by the Sous Chef.
  • Interacts with guests and coworkers professionally and courteously.
  • Maintains a clean and sanitary work area at all times.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

  • One to two years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from guests. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and manuals.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret technical procedures.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to identify problems, collect data, analyze, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret various instructions (written, verbal, etc.).
  • Must qualify for a license with the Pennsylvania State Racing Commission and meet credentialing requirements of the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board.
  • Working events on the casino floor require obtaining a non-gaming credential.

  • Walking 30% of the time
  • Standing 70% of the time
  • Bending and lifting 10% of the time
  • Climbing heights exceeding 10 feet
  • Lifting/moving up to 100 lbs
  • Ability to see clearly (20/20), including color and peripheral vision

  • Smoking environment in guest areas; non-smoking, except designated areas, for employees
  • High noise level

$18.00 per hour
