Job summary

The Residence at Brookside in Avon, CT, part of LCB Senior Living, is seeking a Line Cook for part-time and per diem work. You will support dining programs, prepare meals according to recipes, and maintain a clean, safe kitchen environment to meet high resident expectations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred and Serve Safe Certification.
• 1–3 years of cook experience in hospitality or healthcare preferred.
• Ability to read recipes, production guides, and logs.

Responsibilities

• Provide high level customer service and promote a restaurant-style dining atmosphere.
• Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and menus.
• Keep kitchen and storage areas clean, safe, and sanitary at all times.
• Assist with opening/closing of the kitchen and with special events.
• Document temperatures and maintain cleaning schedules.
