Job summary

Qualifications

• State-issued food handling certification as required.
• Related experience in culinary or hospitality preferred.
• Ability to read and understand safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to speak effectively before guests and groups of co-workers.
• Must be able to perform basic math operations.

Responsibilities

• Inspect food preparation and serving areas to ensure safe, sanitary handling practices.
• Prepare, season, and cook dishes promptly and consistently per recipes and procedures.
• Address any guest dietary restrictions or allergies.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitization of work areas, equipment, and utensils.
• Store food properly and manage supplies; assist in restocking.
• Observe and test food for proper cooking level and temperatures.
• Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to recipes.
• Portion and garnish dishes; regulate oven/lines temperatures.
• Estimate consumption and requisition or procure supplies as directed.
