Job summary

Intercontinental St. Paul Riverfront in Saint Paul seeks a Prep/Line Cook to join our kitchen team. You will prepare menu items in line with production requirements and quality standards while maintaining a safe, sanitary work environment.

You will assist the Executive and Sous Chef with daily tasks, rotate stock, monitor temperatures, and ensure timely service. Candidates should have 2 years culinary experience, be able to work weekends/holidays, and communicate well in English.

Qualifications

• 2 years of culinary experience is preferred.
• Weekend and holiday availability required.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• English speaking, reading, writing required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare menu items following recipes and standards.
• Inspect and clean food prep areas to ensure safety and sanitation.
• Maintain correct temperatures and proper food storage.
• Rotate stock and ensure fresh ingredients.
• Set up line, check pars, and prepare items ahead of time.
• Portion and garnish food for service.
• Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, fryers, and steamers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
