Pura Vida Miami is hiring a line cook to prepare and cook menu items following recipes and quality standards. You will set up stations, stock supplies, and ensure timely food prep with a clean, safe workstation.

The role requires 1–2 years in a fast-paced setting, a Food Handler certificate, and strong time management and teamwork skills. It offers growth opportunities and a supportive BOH environment.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years experience in food production or fast-paced restaurant.
• Food Handler certification (local/municipal) acquired at applicant’s expense.
• Knowledge of cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality food.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Great communication and teamwork skills.
• Must be familiar with the measurement system.
• Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines.
• Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies.
• Ensure food is prepared in a timely manner.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Work collaboratively with the BOH team to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
• Assist in receiving deliveries and putting them away in appropriate storage areas.
• Show willingness and ability to cross-train across various roles in the restaurant to ensure rapid growth in responsibilities and contribution to team success.
• Support with any additional duties assigned.
