Job summary

Sage Hospitality Group is hiring a Line Cook for Indigo Raleigh in North Carolina. You will ensure quality service from the front line through proper sanitation, and train line cooks to maintain standards.

Responsibilities include recipe verification, line setup, food preparation to standard recipes, rotation of perishables, and assisting in buffet preparation. Must have 1–2 years in a related role and high school education or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of cooking and kitchen practices.
• Experience of 1–2 years in a related role with this company or another organization.

Responsibilities

• Check items against recipe cards and ensure proper presentation and use records.
• Monitor line setup for efficiency during meal periods.
• Maintain kitchen “clean as you go” policy and equipment upkeep.
• Prepare food following recipes and portion standards.
• Start items prepared ahead of time without over-preparing.
• Label and rotate perishables; keep at proper temperatures.
• Check pars for shift use and plan prep and line setup.
• Note out-of-stock items and potential shortages.
• Assist in keeping buffet stocked and return unused items with dates.
