Job summary

High Tide Seafood Bar and Grill is seeking a kitchen-prep line cook to accurately and efficiently prep Mise en Place, and cook meats, fish, vegetables, soups and other hot foods, as well as salads and desserts. You will portion food prior to cooking and plate final dishes.

You must maintain quality, follow portion sizes and recipes, and keep a clean, sanitary workstation. The role requires standing for long periods, the ability to lift up to 40 pounds, and clear communication with the team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in kitchen preparation and cooking.
• Able to read, write and communicate clearly in English.

Responsibilities

• Prepares meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other items for cooking using broilers, ovens, grills, fryers and other kitchen equipment.
• Assumes responsibility for quality of products served and adheres to portion sizes and recipes.
• Maintains clean and sanitary workstation and rotates stock.
• Supports off-peak prep and closing duties as needed.
• Attends employee meetings and contributes suggestions for improvement.
