Hampton Lake Community Association Inc. is seeking a capable Line Cook to join our kitchen team. You will prepare, season, and cook soups, seafood, meats, vegetables, and desserts for restaurant outlets and banquets.

Reading menus to estimate needs and procuring ingredients from storage are essential daily tasks. You will ensure proper oven operation, season to taste, and plate with garnishes, while upholding ServSafe and SC Food Safety Standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 2–3 years experience as line cook or prep cook.
• ServSafe certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, season, and cook soups, seafood, meats, vegetables and desserts.
• Read menus to estimate food requirements and procure food from storage.
• Check and adjust oven temperatures and operate kitchen equipment.
• Season and taste foods during mixing or cooking.
• Carve meats, portion plates, and add sauces and garnishes.
• Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruits; use proper knife skills.
• Butcher meat, chicken and seafood.
• Store and rotate large orders; lift up to 50 lbs.
• Follow ServSafe and South Carolina Food Safety Standards.
