Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in kitchen preparation and cooking.
• At least 6 months experience in a similar capacity or role.
• Clear communication with manager, kitchen and dining room staff.
• Able to reach, bend, stoop and lift up to 40 lbs.
• Stand for long periods (up to 8 hours).
• Reading and writing in English clearly.

Responsibilities

• Prepare a variety of meats, seafood, vegetables for cooking using broilers, ovens, grills, fryers and other equipment.
• Ensure quality and consistency of all prepared items.
• Follow portion sizes, cooking methods, and kitchen procedures.
• Stock and maintain adequate levels of food at line stations.
• Prepare items for broiling, grilling, frying, sautéing or other methods.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation and equipment.
• Assist in closing duties and cover for other shifts as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Chef or manager-on-duty.
