Job summary

CIVANA Wellness Resort & Spa in Carefree, Arizona, is seeking a dedicated Line Cook to maintain high standards in food preparation and kitchen sanitation. This full-time position requires a current Maricopa County Food Handlers Card and the ability to work in a standing position for extended periods.

Qualifications

• Three to five years' experience as a Line Cook.
• Current Maricopa County Food Handlers Card required.
• Ability to work in a standing position for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Maintain supplies inventory by checking stock and placing orders.
• Keep kitchen equipment operating and perform maintenance.
• Prepare meals by grilling, sautéing, and broiling ingredients.
• Present meals by arranging hot and cold elements attractively.
• Control costs by following recipes and preparation standards.
• Maintain a sanitary kitchen by adhering to health codes.

IDEAL CANDIDATES

We are seeking exceptional individuals who are passionate, service-oriented, positive and hard-working with a love for health and wellness, and an excitement for hospitality.

This is Regular Full Time position. Open availability 7 days a week from 2:30pm-10:30pm is required for this position, including all weekends and all holidays.

Job Duties

• Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock; anticipating needs; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.
• Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; performing preventive and cleaning maintenance; calling for repairs.
• Completes meal preparation by grilling, sauteing, roasting, frying, and broiling ingredients; verifying doneness and taste; assembling and refrigerating cold ingredients.
• Presents meals by placing and arranging hot and cold elements using plates, dishes, bowls, and baskets.
• Controls costs by adhering to recipes; following preparation standards.
• Maintains a sanitary kitchen by adhering to state and local sanitation, storage, and refrigeration requirements and codes; cleaning equipment.

Qualifications

• Three - five years’ experience as Line Cook
• Previous hotel/resort experience preferred
• Willing and able to work all shifts including weekends/holidays
• Current Maricopa County Food Handlers Card required
• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time
• Knowledge/passion in Health & Wellness
