Job summary

Colonial Golf & Tennis Club in the Harrisburg area seeks a Line Cook for a part-time role. You will work in a fast-paced kitchen, preparing a variety of meats, vegetables, and other items across our restaurant, banquet operations, snack bar, and kitchen carts.

You will complete opening and closing checklists, follow portion sizes and quality standards, store food properly, and assist with stocking. The ideal candidate has 6–12 months kitchen experience or a related certificate, is dependable,

Qualifications

• 6-12 months related kitchen or line cook experience.
• Certificate from college, technical school or accredited facility.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Regular and reliable attendance required.
• Ability to work varying weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• Must be able to stand and walk for periods of time.
• Must have regular and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Completes opening and closing checklists during scheduled shifts.
• Prepare food for various areas of the facility including the restaurant, banquet operations, snack bar and food/beverage cart.
• Understands and complies with standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules.
• Ensures proper storage of food items.
• Assist with stocking and notifying kitchen managers of low ingredients.

About the position...

The Line Cook works in a fast-paced environment to prepare a variety of meats, poultry, vegetables, and other food items by cooking in grills, fryers, and a variety of other kitchen equipment. This role ensures guests are provided with quality prepared food items and meals throughout multiple outlets of the club.

• Completes opening and closing checklists during scheduled shifts.
• Prepare food for various areas of the facility including the restaurant, banquet operations, snack bar and food/beverage cart.
• Understands and complies consistently with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures.
