Job summary

Flanigan’s seeks a dedicated back-of-house cook to join our kitchen team in Florida. You will follow the recipe manual, prepare dishes, and maintain clean, organized stations while ensuring product rotation and timely service.

Responsibilities include line prep, item assembly, and assisting with vendor deliveries. Candidates should be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends. Food safety certification is required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work flexible shift schedule including nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
• Able to stand or walk for the entire shift.
• Must read recipes and food labels.
• Must read POS ticket orders.
• Excellent reading and writing in English.
• Must safely operate kitchen machinery (grill, stove, slicer).
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and handle heavy loads.
• Comfortable working in high temperature and damp environments.
• Assists with dishwashing and cleaning as needed.
• Complete food safety certification per Florida statutes.

Responsibilities

• Follows all company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training
• Prepares menu items according to Flanigan’s company recipe manual and plate presentation
• Ensures rotation of all products and stocks products to par level, to ensure kitchen is not disrupted
• Helps complete assigned prep work, to stock and set up stations as necessary
• Transports items to and from kitchen, helps Vendor unload delivery trucks
• Cleans and maintains kitchen area throughout shift
• Breaks down and cleans all stations at closing
