Qualifications

• Previous cooking or food preparation experience required; cafeteria, institutional, or commercial kitchen experience preferred.
• Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and kitchen equipment.
• Understanding of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook daily menu items according to established recipes and production schedules.
• Ensure food is prepared, held, and served in compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
• Set up, stock, and maintain assigned kitchen workstations.
• Monitor food quality, freshness, and proper temperatures throughout service.
• Assist with receiving, labeling, storing, and rotating food products using FIFO practices.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, prep areas, equipment, and storage spaces.
