Job summary

The Halal Guys in Boston is seeking a line cook to join our fast-paced kitchen.

You will prepare all food items according to SOP, maintain station cleanliness, stock line, and assist with closing duties. Must be energetic, friendly, and a reliable team player.

Candidates should have 2+ years restaurant grilling experience and the ability to lift 30–50 lbs, with reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• 2+ years restaurant experience, specifically grill.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.

• Follow SOP and uphold quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepares all food items according to The Halal Guys SOP manual
• Assumes 100% responsibility for quality of products served
• Knows and complies with standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules
• Stocks and maintains sufficient levels of food products at line stations
• Maintains a clean and sanitary work station area
• Handles, stores and rotates all products properly
• Assists in food prep during off-peak periods
• Closes the kitchen properly and follows closing checklist
• Attends team meetings and brings suggestions for improvement
• Performs other duties as assigned by the kitchen manager or manager-on-duty
