Bar Sprezzatura in downtown Portland is seeking a Line Cook to join our culinary team, delivering precise and consistent dishes in a fast-paced, fine dining setting. You will work across multiple stations and collaborate with passionate chefs to uphold quality and presentation standards.

The ideal candidate brings 2–4 years in high-volume fine dining, strong knife skills, excellent communication, and a positive, learn-fast attitude. Must be able to lift 40 lb and stand for extended periods.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years’ experience in a fine dining or casual fine dining high volume kitchen.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, guests, and your peers.
• Extensive knowledge of food and cooking techniques including knifework, plating, portioning, and precision cooking.
• A positive, “can do” attitude.
• Knowledge of kitchen safety protocols.
• Ability to learn and retain information quickly; intellectual curiosity.
• Ability to work clean, organized, and as part of a team.
• Able to move and lift 40 pounds at a time.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Must be able to stand and walk for an extended period.
