Job summary

Bar Sprezzatura, a Makeready property in downtown Portland, seeks a Pastry Cook to craft and execute desserts, pastries, and baked goods within a high-volume, fine-dining setting. You will lead pastry production, collaborate with the kitchen team, and help develop dessert offerings alongside senior chefs.

The ideal candidate has 2–4 years in a fine-dining pastry role, strong technical skills in pastry production, and a passion for creative plating.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years’ experience in a fine dining or casual fine dining high-volume kitchen with at least 1 year in a lead role.
• Knowledge of pastry production, portioning, and plating.
• Familiarity with inventory management and Microsoft Office suite.
• Culinary degree in pastry strongly preferred and kitchen safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and execute desserts, pastries, and baked goods with precision and creativity in a fast-paced, fine dining environment.
• Collaborate with chefs and support the team to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
• Develop and execute all dessert offerings with the executive chef and corporate pastry chef.
