Makeready LLC’s Bar Sprezzatura in the Heathman Hotel, Portland, is seeking a Line Cook to join our culinary team. You will execute dishes with precision in a fast‑paced, fine dining setting and help uphold our high standards of quality.

The ideal candidate has 2–4 years' experience in fine dining, strong knifework, plating, portioning and precision cooking, plus teamwork, effective communication and a safety‑minded attitude.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years experience in a fine dining or casual fine dining high volume kitchen.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, guests, and peers.
• Extensive knowledge of food and cooking techniques including knifework, plating, portioning, and precision cooking.
• A positive, "can do" attitude and strong knowledge of kitchen safety protocols.
• Ability to learn and retain information quickly and work well in a team.

About the Role:

As a Line Cook with Bar Sprezzatura, you will be an essential part of our culinary team, executing dishes with precision, consistency, and care. You'll uphold our high standards of quality while working alongside passionate chefs in a fast-paced, fine dining environment. This role is perfect for a motivated cook with strong fundamentals and a drive to learn and grow.

Our Ideal candidate is:

A motivated culinary professional who is organized, detail oriented and knowledgeable. You will be an integral part of our kitchen team with a passion for food and a guest first mentality. You have amazing attention to detail, work well as part of a team, and work well under pressure. You uphold culinary standards of excellence and are comfortable working on multiple stations in the kitchen. You have a strong desire to learn and build your culinary skillset.

What you bring to the table:

• 2-4 years' experience in a fine dining or casual fine dining high volume kitchen
