Job summary

The Lodge at Torrey Pines, part of Evans Hotels LLC, is seeking a Line Cook III to join our high-volume, upscale kitchen in San Diego. You will prepare menu items at a dedicated line, uphold quality and timing, and demonstrate professionalism in a hotel culinary environment.

The role requires flexibility to work weekends/holidays, a minimum of 1 year in a similar setting, and the ability to obtain the San Diego County Food Handler certification.

• At least 1 year of relevant experience and/or training.
• High-volume, upscale restaurant experience preferred.
• Weekend and holiday availability required.
• Ability to obtain San Diego County Food Handler certification upon hire (training provided).

• Maintains mise en place and daily prep for line station.
• Prepares entrees according to restaurant standards and recipes.
• Keeps kitchen clean and organized per Health Department standards.
• Rotates stock and assists with cooking duties as needed.

Evans Hotels will provide this training and is to be completed at the company’s expense.Ability to always maintain a friendly, professional, team-oriented, positive demeanor and diplomatic attitude, especially under stress or challenges.Ability to stand, kneel, squat for prolonged periods of time, up to and including, the entire shift and lift up to 25 lbs.The following position will be filled in accordance with the process set forth in California Labor Code Section 2810.8 and San Diego Municipal Code 311.0101 et. seq.**The pay scale posted is the salary or hourly wage range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for the position during the first year of employment.
