Job summary

PENN Entertainment is seeking a line cook at Boomtown Casino Biloxi to prepare breakfast, lunch, or dinner to the Executive Chef’s standards. The role requires maintaining a clean work area, training new cooks, and providing friendly service to guests and team members.

Applicants should have at least two years of full-service restaurant experience, be able to stand a full shift, and meet ServSafe Alcohol training requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years experience in a full service restaurant preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; write simple correspondence.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure and interpret graphs.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
• Knowledge and ability to use all kitchen tools and equipment; identify products; read and execute recipes.
• Must be able to stand a full shift; lift up to 50 pounds; good vision and dexterity.
• Must complete ServSafe Alcohol training certification.

Responsibilities

• Consistently prepares breakfast, lunch, or dinner to standards established by the Executive Chef.
• Ensures work area is clean and orderly.
• Assist in training of new Cooks.
• Must be able to stand a full shift.
• Exhibits friendly, helpful, and courteous manner with customers and fellow cast members.
• All duties as assigned by management.
