Job summary

PENN Entertainment in Biloxi is seeking a motivated Cook I to join our kitchen team. You will prepare breakfast, lunch, dinner or hors d'oeuvres to the standards set by the Executive Chef, keep the area clean, and maintain quality during a fast-paced shift.

Qualified candidates will have a High school diploma or GED, the ability to read and follow recipes, knowledge of kitchen tools, and willingness to complete ServSafe Alcohol training.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and comprehend recipes and instructions
• Knowledge of kitchen tools and equipment
• Apprentice certification preferred
• Able to stand for full shifts and lift up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities

• Consistently prepares breakfast, lunch, dinner or hors d'oeuvres to chef standards
• Keeps work area clean and organized
• Exhibits friendly and courteous demeanor with customers and staff
