Job summary

Live! Casino & Hotel Virginia is seeking a Cook to join our kitchen team. You will prepare all food items, maintain temperatures, season and garnish, and produce soups and sauces while keeping the workspace clean and organized.

You will also monitor inventory and place daily orders to keep service running smoothly. You must have a high school diploma or GED, culinary training or experience in a casual full-service restaurant, and be able to work in an environment with smoking.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Culinary education or 1–2 years in casual full-service restaurant.
• Must obtain Virginia Gaming licensure as required by law.
• Stand for long periods; lift up to 50 pounds.
• Environment permits smoking.

Responsibilities

• Prepare all food items and maintain temperature.
• Season and garnish food.
• Prepare soups and sauces.
• Keep cooking area clean and orderly.
• Maintain inventory and place daily orders.
• Ensure safety and security of employees and guests.
• Monitor and adjust to local competition.
• Other duties as assigned.
