Job summary

Commerce Casino is seeking a Cook I in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen. You will prepare items using approved recipes and methods, maintain health-compliant stations, and support a positive, team-oriented dining environment within the Culinary Management standards.

Responsibilities include supervising prep cooks, ensuring stock, labeling and dating items, and meeting production deadlines during tournaments and peak periods. A HS diploma and ServSafe/Food Handler certification are required.

Qualifications

• Must have previous and extensive work experience as a Prep Cook in a high-volume line cooking or production cooking.
• High School Diploma or GED required; Vocational/Technical/Business certification preferred.
• Must obtain and maintain a Food Handler’s or ServSafe Card and negative TB test.
• Maintain clean and proper work attire and understand HACCP procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food using approved recipes, methods and ingredients set by Culinary Management.
• Maintain workstation, stock and timely production for all menu items.
• Read orders, identify items and communicate requests to team members.
• Direct Prep Cooks and assist with training.
• Work full-time during tournaments and peak periods; overtime as needed.
