Job summary

Biltmore is seeking a Line Cook II to prepare food that meets our estate standards for dining, banquets, and a la carte service. You will work primarily on the hot line and pantry, coordinating with chefs to ensure quality and timely service. Based on qualifications and experience, pay starts at $20/hour.

Schedule typically runs 2pm–11pm, with weekend and holiday availability required. Benefits include on-site health clinic, estate discounts, and comprehensive insurance for full-time staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; culinary degree, certification, or apprenticeship training helpful, but not required.
• At least one year of related culinary experience in a full-service restaurant.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team dynamic environment with production deadlines.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and well organized work area and ensure equipment is cleaned and in safe, good working order.
• Prepare and set up daily forecasts; assist in line and kitchen operations.
• Rotate, store, and date all food items properly.
• Cross-train on all lines to provide backup when needed.
• Train on stewarding equipment and assist as needed.
• Communicate professionally with colleagues and supervisors across locations.
• Collaborate with chefs to develop menus, plating designs, and inventories.
