Job summary

Montage International is seeking a talented Cook I to join our luxury hotel kitchen team. The role focuses on coordinating with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and execution of orders while collaborating with colleagues to meet production goals and maintain exceptional service standards.

You will train and mentor associates, develop new menu items, and prepare hot and cold dishes that meet the highest quality and sanitation standards, all while delivering memorable guest experiences

Qualifications

• Knowledge of culinary techniques and cooking methods.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to collaborate in a team environment with excellent communication skills.
• Three years minimum of cooking experience in a standalone restaurant or hotel environment.
• Luxury hotel experience, a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and execution of food orders.
• Collaborate with associates to meet production goals and ensure smooth kitchen operations.
• Assist with training new kitchen associates.
• Supervise and mentor cooks and kitchen staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
• Create and innovate new menu items and specials.
• Skillfully prepare hot and cold foods that meet high standards.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of food products as well as sanitation standards and culinary techniques to execute dishes at the highest level.
• Fulfill guest orders in a timely manner with attention to detail.
• Work in a collaborative environment while maintaining professionalism.
• Deliver on guests' expectations and create WOW moments.
• Perform additional duties as assigned based on business needs.
