Job summary

Front Porch in Los Angeles is hiring for a Cook 1 – Full Time position. You will assist with meal preparation for residents and staff, following approved recipes and portion sizes. The role requires attention to safety, cleanliness and quality standards in a fast-paced dining environment.

The position offers hourly compensation of $21.58–$25.00, with a schedule from 10:30 am to 7:00 pm and 36+ hours per week. Experience in food service and a valid Food Handlers’ certificate are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Food Handlers’ certification from local health department required.

Responsibilities

• Cook 1 Line.
• Provides quality Customer Service to residents, families, co-workers and vendors.
• Prepares meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other items using broilers, ovens, grills, fryers and other kitchen equipment.
• Maintains standards of portion sizes, cooking methods and kitchen policies.
• Stocks and maintains sufficient levels of food products at line stations for service periods.
• Ensures cleanliness and safety of work station and equipment.
• Follows safety standards and reports hazards or accidents.
